Torrington arrests for Sept. 13, 2017

The Torrington Police Department reported the following arrests:
DUI: Brian H. Brophy, 54, of 411 Cherry Ave., Watertown, was arrested Sept. 9 and charged with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Torrington on Sept. 26.
ASSAULT: Saida Abreu, 44, of 19 Scoville St., first-floor apartment, Torrington, was arrested Sept. 12 and charged with breach of peace and third-degree assault. She was held on a $5,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bantam on Sept. 13.
LARCENY: Siana Gawlik, 19, of 111 Torringford St., Winsted, was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with sixth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bantam on Sept. 26.
BREACH OF PEACE: Christopher Berry, 35, of 505 East Cotton Hill Road, New Hartford, was arrested Sept. 8 and charged with breach of peace and interfering with officer/resisting arrest. He was released on a promise to appear and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bantam on Sept. 26.
LARCENY: Sean Knowles, 31, of 189 Joy Road, Middlebury, was arrested on a warrant stemming from Jan. 25 and charged with third-degree larceny, false statement and tampering with physical evidence. He was held in lieu of $5,000 bond.
PARAPHERNALIA: Eileen E. Reder, 50, of 298 Park Ave., first apartment, Torrington, was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in a school zone. She was held in lieu of $1,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in court Sept. 26.
NARCOTICS: Ben Moore, 55, of 36 French St., Torrington, was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with possession of narcotics and possession in a school zone. He was released on a $2,500 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Torrington on Sept. 26.
PROTECTIVE ORDER: Cheryl A. Degiacomo, 56, of 395 South Main St., first-floor apartment, Torrington, was arrested on a warrant stemming from Sept. 1 and charged with violation of a protective order. She was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bantam on Sept. 13.
TRESPASSING: Davis E. Armstrong Jr., 23, of 332 South Main St., Torrington, was arrested Sept. 11 and charged with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest and on a warrant stemming from Aug. 31, violation of a protective order, interfering with an officer/resisting arrest and simple trespassing. He was held in lieu of $6,000 combined bond and scheduled to appear in scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bantam on Sept. 12.
